Kia ora everyone

A busy start to 2012, with a lot of new and exciting opportunities for the taking.

HYPE (Helping Youth Prepare 4 Employment) project has been funded for a second year commencing from 1st February thanks to Ministry of Social Development and Rangitikei District Council.

Sadly we farewell Debbie Tate, Projects Assistant who has been absolutely fantastic and instrumental with the set up of systems and processes.  We wish her well in her new role with the Manawatu District Council.

I’d like to thank all the local businesses in particular SPEIRS Foods Ltd, CMP and Project Marton, who took a leap of faith in the HYPE project and provided work experience and paid employment opportunities for our candidates.  Within 9 months, we had 67 candidates accessing the HYPE project, of these 34 local candidates were placed into work which will have a significant impact on our local economy.
