Throughout May

Every Wednesday excluding school holidays - Surf and Learn at Ruapehu REAP, 1 Tui St, Taihape Course covers: Effective computer and internet skills, Adult literacy, language and numeracy, critical thinking and problem solving, NZQF unit standards levels 1-3, career exploration and planning, financial literacy and budgeting, workplace health and safety, and CVs.  Free.

Every Sunday free computer help is available at the Taihape Library. Bring your own laptop or use our computers. Learn at your own pace. Phone (06) 388 0604 to book a place.

Wednesday 1st

Taihape Women’s Club meeting with guest speaker Toni White speaking on life in Zimbabwe. To be held 1.30pm at the clubrooms, Tui Street.

Tuesday 7th

Taihape Library Book Club to be held 10am at the library. Come along for morning tea and good conversation about inspirational women. Contact (06) 388 0604.

Thursday 9th

Beginners computer course at Reap.

Every Thursday for 6 weeks, 6.30pm - 8.30 pm

Course covers: Session 1 - General computer knowledge. $10 per session

Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th

Women’s Lifestyle Expo featuring the Rangitikei District at Arena 2, Pascal Street, Palmerston North. Open from 10am-5pm. $10 entry fee.

Wednesday 15th

Taihape Older & Bolder trip to Palmerston North to tour Foodstuffs Distribution Centre plus Kaiapoi Mill. Leaving Taihape at 9am. For more information contact Betty (06) 388 0978.

Thursday 16th

NZ Speaker of the Year Alison Mooney, the ‘People Interpreter’, will speak on ‘Your Teenagers’ at Rangitikei College, 7.30pm-9.30pm. Entry $20. Presented in association with South Makirikiri School. Bulls Book Fair at Bulls Town Hall from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.

Saturday 18th

Bulls Book Fair at Bulls Town Hall from 9:00am – 2:00pm.

Saturday 18th – Sunday 19th

10am - 12.30pm at Taihape Plunket rooms, Kuku St. Open and Honest, talking to children about sexuality! Do your children ask tricky questions about puberty? When is a good time to start talking to your children about puberty? Do you want to feel more confident answering your childs questions?  Free!
